As our Risk & Compliance Officer, you’re part of the team that keeps our risk and compliance foundations strong, while enabling the business to move fast.

You’re structured, curious and proactive. You understand that regulation is not just a burden: it’s part of building something sustainable. You help Peaks understand why controls matter, while making compliance practical and usable. You enjoy working hands-on with processes and policies and know how to spot risks without slowing the business down. You make risk awareness part of daily operations and help embed compliance in product development.

You’ll be a key part of the Risk & Compliance team, supporting both the Head of R&C and business teams. Every day, you will:

• Perform compliance monitoring and risk assessments;

• Assess the risks within the company; 

• Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and controls;

• Advice on the compliance of our information provision; 

• Assist with regulatory reporting and internal reviews;

• Monitor regulatory developments and help translate them into practical actions; 

• Contribute to audits and interactions with supervisors;

• Help embed risk awareness and compliance into daily operations and product development;

• Safeguard our compliance to the privacy regulation and handle specific privacy requests; 

• Report to the Head of R&C on your observations and assessments.

You’ll be hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented to help Peaks remain in control and compliant at all times.

You’re curious, organized, and eager to grow. You have:

• Intermediate level: 3-5 years experience in financial services risk & compliance (investment firms is a bonus);

• Knowledge of financial regulations such as Wft, MiFID II, AML/KYC, EAA and GDPR;

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;

• A ‘getting things done’-mentality and the persistence to follow through;

• Clear written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English;

• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset;

• Strong verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English;

• Bonus: certification as a Risk and/or Compliance professional or CIPP-E (privacy).
